Father's Day
We had a great Father's Day.We each gave Duncan a card... I picked out mine, Rachel picked out hers, and since Jack is too little to do much of anything, I picked out his and helped him hand print it.
Then we gave Duncan a Little Golden Book titled "I Love You Daddy" and a mouse pad that I ordered from Walgreens.
We got to church a little early and enjoyed the Welcoming Coffee goodies and visited with church folk. Then we heard our first sermon from
Pastor Paige, our new minister at FUMC.Sunday School was great. I fixed a sausage/cream cheese in a croissant pie type thing for the class and for Pastor Matt's birthday. Everyone seemed to really like it! Then we had a really good discussion. It made me so happy!
After church we took Dave & Sandy out for Father's Day. We had a really good lunch, but Rachel didn't eat much of anything.
She took a good nap and I had some quiet time while both kids slept and Duncan went to the Y to work out.
As soon as Rachel woke up though, she was in a sour mood. Swimming at the Y and seeing Dee-Dee & Granddad didn't help. She said she didn't feel well and moved very slowly. I told her she was probably hungry, but she still wouldn't eat anything.
She didn't eat any dinner and remained sluggish. She went to bed early without any fuss.
You know what's almost as bad as your kid being sick? Not knowing WHY your kid is sick. Hopefully she'll feel better tomorrow because it's the first day of Vacation Bible School and Sandy is picking her up bright & early at 8:00 a.m.
Other than our little sicky, we had a great Father's Day. I think Rachel, Jack, Dunc and I all tie for having the best father EVER.
