Last Revision: Final Draft
Grey stayed.
So here's what we did.
Rachel and I went to choir. We left early and met Duncan at home.
We sat Rachel on the couch and told her she was going to be a big sister because there was a baby in Mommy's tummy.
She seemed confused. Then unconcerned.
Then we called Mom & Dad repeatedly for about a half an hour. Finally we heard ringing instead of a busy signal. Rachel got RIGHT on the phone and said, "Grandma! Guess what? I'm gonna be a big sister!"
Mom played it cool and handed the phone to Dad. Right on cue Rachel said, "Grandpa! Guess what? I"m gonna be a big sister!"
We didn't talk for long because Sandy, David, Grey and the kids were all coming over for dinner.
Then we found out Dave wasn't coming because he had too much work to do at the pharmacy. :( Oh well... Duncan said it was okay to call him.
So Grey came in first. Rachel was wearing her Big Sister 09 shirt. (It came today!)

Grey noticed it IMMEDIATELY. She gave a sly smile and said, "Ohhhhh!" and hugged us both. We told her not to say anything to Sandy when she came in.
A few minutes later Sandy arrived. She saw Rachel but didn't notice the shirt. Duncan told Rachel to ask Sandy if she liked her shirt.
Rachel ran in the kitchen and said, "Dee-Dee, do you like my new shirt?"
Sandy said, "Yes, I do, it's very... OHHHHH!" :)
We tried calling David a few times at the pharmacy but the line was busy.
We ate dinner. Brian called Grey and she told him the news. Then we called Dave again.
Duncan talked and I listened. He asked David if I could return the Darvocet. He said I hadn't needed it.
Dave said, "She hasn't?"
Duncan said, "Yeah, you know why she needed it... for menstrual type pain?"
Dave said, "Yeah..."
Duncan said, "Well, she's not gonna have pain any more."
Dave asked cautiously, "Why....?"
We giggled.
Dave giggled.
Duncan said, "She's pregnant!"
Then I called Laura. She wasn't there, so I told Tom. I called Laura's cell and left a message.
Then I called Jim & Polly.
Then I called John & Julie.
Then Laura called and I told her!
So that's it, folks. The cat is outta the bag. At least to family. And I'm telling Ginnie tomorrow FO SHO.
We're asking everyone to wait until Sunday to tell the general population. We'd like to tell our church friends then.
Hee hee hee hee heeeeeee!!!!!!!
