Dear Ginnie...
GUESS WHAT?????!!!!!!
I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, when you asked me today how things were going... did you see me blush?
Inside I was screaming, "HOW ARE THINGS GOING???!!! I'M PREGNANT!!!!! GINNIE, I'M PREGNANTPREGNANTPREGNANT!!!!!! YAY!!!!! NOW STAND UP AND JUMP AROUND WITH ME!!!!!!!!!"
But I couldn't.
I said, "It's going, you know..." and you looked at me with sympathetic eyes. I said, "We still have that appointment in October."
You asked, "What appointment?"
I said, "With the fertility specialist in Nashville." (Which is not a lie. We still have the appointment. We haven't canceled yet. We haven't gotten around to it!)
You said you didn't know about the appointment. I said, "Yeah... so you know... it's going..." and I quickly turned and walked away.
What were you thinking? Did you catch on? Did you think, "She's acting weird, I bet she's already pregnant."? Or did you feel sorry for me and think, "That poor girl. I hope she gets pregnant soon."?
For a second I considered telling you. I knew you'd be thrilled for me. But I also knew there was no way for you to keep your cool. With Dave there. While we're still planning and plotting a clever way to tell our families in the future.
But GAW, Ginnie! How I was screaming it in my head!!! "I'M PREGNANT! I'M SO EXCITED! OUR BABIES WILL BE LESS THAN A YEAR APART! THEY WILL BE BFFs!!!!!!"
Some day, Ginnie. I'll get to tell you some day.
