Anticipating Non-Pregnancy
Last Friday... knowing that my period was around the corner... I called my ob/gyn and asked his nurse if he could call the pharmacy (where my FIL & I work) to give me a prescription of heavy duty pain meds.
My last two cycles have been almost unbearable. The first day or two of each I was in so much pain. Two cycles ago I stayed home from work. The last cycle, I loaded up on extra-strength Tylenol and put on those sticky heating pad things -- one on my gut and one on my back -- and went to work. I was miserable.
So last Friday I went to lunch and after I came back I asked Dave (my FIL) if the doctor had called in anything. He said yes. I exclaimed, "Really?!" He said yes. I asked, "What is it?" He said DARVOCET.
Wowwwwww!!!!
Heavy.
Duty.
So David filled it and I stashed it in my purse. After work, we drove to Louisville and spent the night at Grey & Brian's. On Saturday, while Dunc and the boys went to the U.K. football game in Lexington, Rachel and I drove to Ohio to visit family and attend a banquet in honor of my late, great Uncle Jim.
I told my mom and SIL Julie that I was almost EXCITED for my period to start so I could show that pain WHO'S BOSS! I even bragged a little bit to my other SIL Laura. I literally was looking forward to feeling that awful, debilitating pain go away RIGHT AWAY and STAY away by taking my new drugs.
On Monday, Dave asked me how it was working for me. I said, "I haven't needed it yet!" (Which is true!)
Aw, shucks. I guess that Darvocet will go to waste! ;)
