My Pregnancy: 35 weeks: Happy Easter Baby Jack!

Jack doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in my womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

My uterus — which was entirely tucked away inside my pelvis — now reaches up under my rib cage. If you could peek inside my womb, you'd see that there's more baby than amniotic fluid in there now. My ballooning uterus is crowding my other internal organs, too, which is why I probably have to urinate more often and may be dealing with heartburn and other gastrointestinal distress.

As for Jack... he doesn't seem to be slowing down his movements at all. Sometimes it feels like he's kickboxing. Sometimes it feels like he's stretching. Yesterday, I was feeling, alternately, Braxton Hicks contractions and Jack's kung fu. It was an interesting afternoon!

As for me... I *am* going to the bathroom a lot more, but I haven't experienced heartburn for a while. My biggest things now are exhaustion, being more emotional than usual, BH contractions, charley horses, pelvic pain/pressure and swollen ankles. But never all at once and never anything incapacitating... oh, except for the charley horses, which are EXTREMELY painful but don't last forever, thank goodness!
