Moving Right Along
Here is a pregnancy ticker.

Right now it looks like this:

Of course, as the days & weeks go on, the top ticker will change.
I figured out today when I turn different months. People go by weeks these days, but everyone knows the "9 months" guideline and I still sometimes like to think of myself as a certain number of MONTHS along.
So right now I am nearing the 5.5 month mark.
I will be 6 months on February 12.
7 months on March 15.
8 months on April 15.
And 9 months on my original due date of May 17. (One of my doctors moved it up to May 15 after looking at my ultrasound.)
I was induced with Rachel and had an epidural right away. All under the advice of my doctor. However, with Jack, I want to go into labor on my own. I know it will be harder for me because I will have to wait... but I know it will be good for Jack and selfishly, I just want to experience that. Having contractions... timing them... the anticipation...
We've already found out the sex... it will be nice to be surprised by SOMETHING.
Also: this time I don't want to get the epidural right away. I want to let things happen naturally at least for a LITTLE while. But I WILL get the epidural. Don't get me wrong. I can only handle the pain for so long!
So this is my plan. Everyone knows about the best laid plans though... So I'm just putting it out there... it's only my PLAN.
I talked with a friend today about her pregnancy. And how she only wants 2 of the 4 Ob/Gyns in our practice to deliver her baby. It just made me feel more comfortable with MY pregnancy. Because I don't care who delivers, or even who my main doctor is. Things are going along really well and I trust all of the Ob/Gyns at the office. Knowing this gives me such a sense of peace!
